The Titans cut list looks like the "who's-who" list for needs in Kansas city. Just throw in a great LB and we would have it sealed up.

    DE Kevin Carter
    WR Derrick Mason
    K Joe Nedney
    CB Samari Rolle

I would be ecstatic just to end up with Rolle and Mason. Just Rolle would be nice. Carl Peterson! Are you listening?

The Cheifs need another receiver to take the load off of Gonzales, their current guys aren't bad but they arent much to brag about, Mason would be an awsome target for Trent Green and with Samari Rolle and Mcleon as your Corner tandum the cheifs may have a good defense! But i really can't say anything look at the Packers D for the past few Years! [IMG]

We disagree about McCleon. I think the Chiefs may end up relegating him to backup only (rather than the nickel back position he has enjoyed the past couple of years.) McCleon was a good player, but last season he was the guy opponents chose to pick on most often. (And they won that gamble the majority of the time.) I think he has lost a step in both speed and leaping ability. He could maybe be a good presence if we draft a young corner this year, or if Bartee remains a Chief as a mentor, but his best playing days are over.

When are teams able to pick up free agents? If Fowler is a man of his word, he'll go after at least three of those players.

I'm not looking to sign then "in addition to". I was thinking more of an "in place of" arrangement. Actually, I wasn't saying we would sign them at all, just saying that it was funny that they were cutting loose many of the positions we have targeted as biggest need areas. Peterson would look smart if we were to sign Rolle or Mason, so you can bet that will not happen.

Mason will get a HUGE contract for much more than he is worth this year. There's my first prediction of the year. (Well, 2nd prediction if you count the one about Carl not doing the "smart" thing.
