I'm sick of hearing this one. When the "Wildcat" offensive package was introduced two years ago, the Browns of course introduced their version of it. Here's the problem, as initially called by the commentators, it was the "Flash" package when ran by the Browns due to the fact that former Kent State Golden (wait for it) Flash quarterback Josh Cribbs took the snaps. Throughout the entirety of the 2009 season, I don't believe a single TV guy got it right. Even the guys who had called the initial games in which the Browns used it in 2008 (and got it right then) continually referred to it as a "Wildcat" set when the Browns use it. Flash forward (pun unintentional) two seasons, there's now two flavors in Cleveland. The Flash returns, with Cribbs taking the snaps, and the Cyclone will makes its debut. The Cyclone? You ask. Yes, so named because former Iowa State (wait for it) Cyclones quarterback Seneca Wallace will take the snap in that particular package. So, for the sake of my tiny amount of remaining sanity, if you're going to cover the Browns this year in a blog, article, or even just a post here at S2... Please, it's not the Wildcat.
