In conjunction with E-nail I've received from Steinbrenner Field and Radio Spots on the Classic Rock Station people are exhorted to "come out and see the '17 Yankees. Most all of the reasons stated relate to the soon to be completed renovations on Steinbrenner Field. Luxury Boxes for the Dick Munchers, improved pavilions and lines of sight to the playing field, new gift shop, improved parking ect, ect, the list goes on. No mention however of a winning ball club on that fancy facility, end result upgrade toilet same old shit. Oh yeah we have the new Baby Bombers but the two main veins are still in charge, I thought maybe Steinbrenner was getting it last season but as long as he keeps Cashman as GM I don't think so. Another one that really pissed me off is that again this year over four different reserve dates one may at the cost of 425.00 met and photo with a former and current Yankees Payer. Hey there Hall lets put a God Damn Team out there that performs well enough to even consider a mercenary meet and greet. Yep, looks like its going to be another year, the Cathedral of Baseball Stadiums in the Bronx may see only low masses this season in performance and attendance. Speaking only for myself I'm lacking in faith of managements ability to field a winning team.

That seems to be the marketing ploy at this time, pimping that facility, hey great, hot dog, the Current Yankee Stadium is a jewel as well but after '09 well damn, no team with a winning attitude. Some of those kids the Yankees got have excellent attitudes but with oop and oop in charge anything is possible. A few days ago a man I know (Boston Fan) said that big George is rolling in the coffin. As I approach year # 62 of fandom I am one disgruntled individual. Some people thought Girardi would be a scapegoat for last season but he was saved by the personnel changes. I have a feeling if the dub gets flubbed this season they'll have a picnic on Girardis ass.

...unless Gardner and/or Ellsbury have turnaround seasons, I don't see this year's team finishing any better than last year's team...pitching is no better either.

Combined salaries of Sabathia and Ellsbury are about 63 million. Now factor in the 20 plus mil given to A hole to have him as an "advisor" and the '17 Salaries ore out there in the o zone. What are the Yankees getting in return, a pitcher dangerous to performance and past his prime, a Center Fielder past his prime, and an "advisor: who has no business in that capacity. Forgot about Gardner, maybe ha can be moved. Cashman can't pull a snow job to get rid of his high priced duds akin to Boston shipping all of their duds to LA. The current situation for Yankee Fans is "Don't be bitter, reconsider".

    ^^^ to all the above

A-Hole as an advisor, wtf, just what blow hole needs, another posse of uninformed over head, to schmooze with; telling expensive drunken Pete Rose stories.

A-hole should of shown some dignity and bowed out, forfeited his $$$ this yr, but of course he's never had any dignity, so that wouldn't make sense. Why or what would A-roid know or have to say, that would make any sense??? (return to story telling, in lieu of advice).

Looking very forward to watching this band of young prospects, jockeying for position. Hopefully this year will begin some/any process of piecing together, and growing a Pitching staff, tho' I don't expect a solid staff to begin to come together until ST-018. Hell, I'm not even sure if being anxious to see glimpses of a bona-fide SP staff come together, is a set up for failed expectations**, shit, I'm not sure wtf to expect these day's, or is it dazed? I don't expect to see such this year, not even sure if Hal and Crian can deliver a SP Staff, without A-Hole's Advice...

** too many opt out contracts, at too vital a time in the years ahead.
