I should have posted this a while ago, but I thought I would get negative comments and me being a fan shouldnt have been. Now on to what I have to say. I think it is very jacked up how Dirk Nowitzki doesnt get noticed, yes im starting this im speaking my mind, you can say I'm all "obessed" and what ever I just dont care. I think he is very underrated and somebody always has some stupid stuff to say about him. I also thought its very inconsiderate that he wasnt considerd seriosly to be MVP. I mean for each year hes been in the NBA his stats have went up, and has been considred the "go-to" guy of the Mavericks. Why isnt he noticed Ill tell you why I think hes not "because he isnt dominat" I think hes improving... "he dont have no defence" once again I think hes improving. Look at Shaq What kinda offence does he have WOW he can dunk (no this is not a HATE SHAQ post its just an example) big whop. I just think its not fair how everybody notices Dunan, Kobe, Tmac or Shaq and not him I think people need to take a reality check and open their eyes and see Dirk is a good player..
i think it all comes down to the defense. dirk is a good player. he's a franchise player. his defense is the only reason he's not put in the same category as TD, Kobe, KG, and Shaq. I know Shaq's defense isn't really the greatest, but he's a presence in the paint. BIG time. People are also gonna give Dirk a hard time for not banging in the paint like traditional big men. For now, his excuse is that he learned to play in Europe. After a while, that excuse is gonna run out. He's slowly becoming more of a presence in the paint, but not nearly as much as Duncan, KG, or Shaq. to me, that seems to be the only reason he doesnt get the credit you think he deserves
He dosent get no kinda credit, he always getting critizied by somebody. "He needs more defecne" I think hes improving. Yes I agree he needs more presense in the paint, but dang I read about all these players and blah, none of em even mention him, i think its jacked up. I mean damn Shaq dont show up for practice its all over Dateline NBC, or he gets injured "we hope for the best" but when Dirk gets injured "Oh hes a (explict) or whatever" Im just speaking my mind here, I just dont think he getting the credit he deserves. It may not be alot, but hell I think he desreves more than the little that hes getting.
