I was listening to Fox Sports Radio a few minutes ago and they said that Rasheed Wallace passed his physical with the Hawks today. More importantly though is that NBA Insider Peter Vescey said Rasheed may never play in a Hawk uniform because they are saying that he may be involved in a 5 player 3 team deal sending him to Houston, Iverson to Atlanta, and Steve Francis to Philly. Vescey is saying that this deal could very well be completed by the trading deadline. He also did say that the Hawks will still have plenty of money to pursue Bryant in the off-season or Mcgrady next year.
I deffintley do not want to see that trade I'm hoping philly doesnt trade Iverson I will be very shocked if thye though he is the whole philly franchise
kobe won't go to the hawks. and who will be houston's point guard? that deal doesn't even make sense.
This is dumb. The Sixers will be even more horrible with Steve Francis... no affence. The Sixers wanna get better. How would trading their best player and their only attendance puller solve this? Larry Brown, please come back.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Blinger0723:</div><div class="quote_post">it says that its a 5 player deal what if snow goes to houstin?</div> it's houston. if he goes to houston he sits on the bench.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting okaforever:</div><div class="quote_post">it's houston. if he goes to houston he sits on the bench.</div> Why is that? It means Francis is gone, and Eric Snow fits Jeff Van Gundy's style of being a defensive orientated, pass first point guard. He would get 30+ minutes a game there.
I'm sorry but if all we get is Steve Francis and trade Eric Snow AND Allen, then that's disturbing. Give us Cuttino Mobley and Francis dammit.
oh it came from pete vescey? well then, it MUST have some truth to it pete vescey is the king of the "never happen trade rumour"
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ming637:</div><div class="quote_post">Houston isn't going to give up Francis.</div> Oh no?? I guess you haven't heard about some Francis rumors in the ESPN NBA Insider. Sir Dez is right... <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sir Desmond:</div><div class="quote_post"> ....Eric Snow fits Jeff Van Gundy's style of being a defensive orientated, pass first point guard. He would get 30+ minutes a game there.</div> Van Gundy would love to have Eric Snow rather than Francis as his point guard. Here's a trade that ESPN's Chad Ford conjoured up... Steve Francis, Eric Piatkowski, Glenn Robinson and Aaron McKie to Portland; Eric Snow, Zach Randolph, Qyntel Woods and Ruben Patterson to Houston and Dale Davis and Damon Stoudamire to Philly. He goes on to explain how the trade would meet each team's need. Personally, I doubt it'll happen. But it's certainly interesting to think about.
because eric snow isn't that great, imo. there's at least, at least 20 other point guards in the nba that are playing better than him this year. they'll probably draft a point guard.. if steve francis were to be moved elsewhere.. or if they're real ballsy, they'll stick with mike wilks. ;0. his defense is mediocre (snow). nothing spectacular. he can't handle the nba's big boys. (guard-wise..obviously). they'll blow right by him. not to mention he's in his 8th season. he's not in his youngest years anymore. oh, and let's not forget the multi year contract extension he got, as well as those other bums.. that'll be fun to move. that's another reason why the sixers are having problems making deals, is the stupid ass contracts billy king gave out for rewarding the nba finals loss to the lakers.. and after that. what a fool. let's not forget how terrible fox sports news is. and let's not forget nobody picked up peter vescey for a reason when the nba left nbc.
Steve Francis is a BYC player, if he's traded it likely won't be until the off-season anyway. Okaforever, you really think that assuming Houston did trade Francis, they would turn the point guard spot over to Mike Wilks? This while accepting Eric Snow back in trade and sitting him? C'mon man, you obviously don't know Van Gundy, and you obviously know little about Eric Snow going by your previous comments.
he's over-paid, and they'd have to pick up his lousy contract. i wasn't serious w/ the mike wilks comment.. i thought you'd catch that somewhere. snow just isn't that good. i've seen my share of sixers games. he doesn't do anything for me. there's many other people they could get or should go after.. i'm just not high on eric snow. i think francis fits fine right now.. just let him play with the new coach some more, let's see what happens.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting okaforever:</div><div class="quote_post"> snow just isn't that good. i've seen my share of sixers games. he doesn't do anything for me. there's many other people they could get or should go after.. </div> what??? eric snow isnt that good? are you crazy! the guy isnt a deadly scorer, ill give you that, but every team needs role players, and snow is one of the best in the leauge. he can be counted on for everything other then 20 ppg, and sometimes he pours that in if its what his team needs. hes a leader on the floor and in the dressing room. hes a solid defender (dont forget, last years nba all defense 2nd team) a great passer, covered in floor burns because he dives for balls he has no business or chance even getting, but he goes after them anyways. hardly ever turns the ball over, can always be counted on for a few rebounds...need i go on? which eric snow are you talking about cuz the one im talkin about is no all-star, but a player doesnt have to be an all-star to be a good player bottom line is...every team needs a player like eric snow.
Lets all remember something....Eric Snow has been playin in Allan Iversons shdaow his whole career.....Hes an excellent player and can carry a team....hopefully somethin will happen for him to get his career to the next point....weather it be Iverson leaving philly or Snow leaving...well see!
