<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Philadelphia?s Allen Iverson and Seattle's Ray Allen have been named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, March 21 through Sunday, March 27.

Iverson led his team to a 3-0 week with wins over Detroit, Toronto and the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 31.7 points while adding 10.7 assists, 3.33 steals and 2.3 rebounds. He also hit the game-winning field-goal versus Toronto (2/25) with 2.4 seconds remaining in regulation.

It is the fourth time this season and 16th time during his career that Iverson has received Player of the Week honors. The four times ties the most Player of the Week awards in a single season (2001-02) for Iverson. The last time was on March 7, 2005.</div>

Hey, I'll make a wild guess and say that Iverson will be the Eastern Conference Player Of the Month. [IMG] This is his second in the month of March that he got player of the week honors, so it would only be fitting if he was layer of the month. Makes sense to me...

He deserved it 100%. Especially for finally getting Webber to play with the team (to the maximum extent that he can). He had a great week, his stats were stunning, and his success in incorporating Webber into the gameplan certainly was no less than sensational.
Well deserved. There's no doubt he's got march locked up. Good for him, good for the people of Philadelphia.

There has definitely been MVP-caliber play from AI since the all-star break. But he is on a little cold streak lately but that?s nothing major to worry about considering he is still getting the job done.

Yeah, congrats and all that jazz. However, the thing I'm really focused on is the MVP voting. No doubt these little awards play somewhat of a role with that, but I still think he'll get overlooked standing next to Steve Nash which is unfortunate. He is playing the best ball of his career, leading a very young team, and another star player who is having much trouble fitting in. Sure, Steve has reenergized the Suns and got them a high seed, but I just don't know. Being as Allen is my favorite player I really want to see him get the MVP, but it'll be hard with Nash on the tip of his step.
