<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allen Iverson's pain could be Carmelo Anthony's All-Star gain. The Denver Nuggets said Iverson might miss the Nuggets' next few games and possibly the NBA All-Star Game to rest his sprained right ankle. He played Wednesday against the New Orleans Hornets after missing four games, but reaggravated the injury during overtime of the Nuggets' 114-112 loss. Iverson said he might miss the next couple of games because "I don't want this bothering me for the rest of the season. My speed is a big part of my game and when I can't move by people the way I want to I know something is wrong." If Iverson backs out of his eighth All-Star appearance, that would give Anthony -- the NBA's leading scorer -- another chance to make his first All-Star team as one of commissioner David Stern's injury replacement picks. Stern has said he won't hold Anthony's 15-game suspension for fighting against him when choosing replacements for the Feb. 18 game in Las Vegas. </div> Source
Unless the sprain is completely healed, A.I. should not play in the all-star game. It's great that A.I. knows which is more important between individual glory and team prospects.
