"I guess that means I'm playing point guard, and I'm satisfied with that. I think it gives us much more of an advantage, because Willie Green can score in bunches and we'll run a lot more with me at the point."

"The team we have, we need to score in transition a lot instead of a half-court game," Iverson said. "I like running on made and missed baskets. It puts a lot of pressure on a defense. It's a new look for us, and I feel like it's a new start for me."

"He's a coach who wanted to coach me," Iverson said. "That's important to me, with a new coach coming in, not trying to change Allen Iverson as a player and a person.<font color="DarkRed">*</font>"</div>

Seriously this is a plus, he is saying all the right things this offseason, seems as if he is excited with the new order around the team, and is bulking up over the summer, plus hitting the Olympics as well. The guy has it all planned out I think, and will be a force this year because of his broken heart last year.

Good to see AI happy with the new coach. I think the sixers team will become this year a athletic fast passed team sort of what the nets have been since kidd got there a team that loves to run on the fast break. I cant wait to see this years team in action it will be great to see a fast break team running the floor with AI at point this wilol help our team so much because imo the sixers dont have many good shooters at any position other than small forward and a few good ones at 2 guard.

Last year we were to much of a half court team and the inability to sink jumpers killed them imo. With them getting points on the break it will be great now all we need is to try and sign a young athletic dunker who gets points on the break to fully make our team exciting possible offer miles something since most his points come on the break having him on a fast break team wouldnt be a bad idea.

Well it seems as if you?re finally aware that things could be different this upcoming season. Nonetheless, I like his mentality right now, he?s all business. However, with his horrendous season he had last year and reuniting with Coach Brown as well as being named co-captain, I think he will have something to prove in Athens and the upcoming season.

How about iggy and brown ?

They are defined as young, athletic, and dunks waiting to happen.

Iggy is definitly atheletic I agree with you at that regard, but I was talking about getting a guy that is a free agent or on the trading block in the nba that is already an accomplished dunker and has that kind of reputation as a fast break player to get the everyday sixers fan intrested in the team possible getting a guy like that would increase ticket sales.

Iggy is good, but he is not used to the nba pase yet so I dont think he will be able to run consistant minutes for the team up and down the court. He will get tired quickly from the nba speed of the players that are running. If they had someone who was used to the speed of the nba already it would help alot.

Though iggy will probable end up being the guy the sixers use to fill that role since I dont think they have enough money to go out in the free agent market and make a bid for like a darius miles that the blazers wouldnt be able to match. The only high flyer out on the market (trading block) I can think of is VC and there is no way he is coming to philly since his gm wants a super star for a super star.

I see quite an improvement this year and "change" is good. The sixers now have Iverson at the point, who is still top 5 fastest/quickest players in the league. He can also set plays up and is not as selfish as he used to be. I also like his mental state, he is more motivated than ever and I like the fact that he has finished the whole "put yourself ahead of the team" phase. He is now the man with something to prove and I couldn't be happier with all the effort be given by him. (i.e. working out early in offseason etc.)

i'm excited about the upcoming season
