Yes, I know it sounds like a scratched record that you've heard before, but you listen anyway.

"I'm excited about playing this season," Iverson said. "I'll play in the Olympics, get a month off and then be in shape going into training camp.

"I definitely feel like a championship is still coming to me. And I don't want one when I'm 35 or 40 years old, take a pay cut and go play for the team that everybody knows will win.

"I don't want that championship. I want the one where I'm the leader on the team. I want it with the people I've been here with. I want one with [Aaron McKie]. I wanted one with Eric Snow.

"I want it in Philadelphia, it's as simple as that."

This time, once again, we want to, need to, have to believe Allen Iverson. Maybe that makes us suckers, but what other choice is there?</div>

It's all nice to hear that he wants a ring that he wants one with his older teammates. Once again though he is just feeding the team, and the media. He wants to get the team hyped and the media in a frenzy. Also, it is good that he is taking his new spot this well, the shooting guard spot is somewhere where he prospered at, where he became a superstar, and to go back to his rookie spot might be a challenge.

Yeah AI has seemed to mature a lot more sense his past, and its a good thing he is going to stay in Philly and try and get a ring instead of selling out like other players do.

Im glad he is not gona pull a malone or payton on the team and go look for a title else were I remember how much he i proved his attitude that year brown almost traded him to the clippers then he real his time in philly may be ending he did everything to improve his attitude from calling larry brown up when he won all star mvp to just being an overall good person for the team.

Hopefully he is gona just improve his leadership role with the team at point guard this year and possible make a run at mvp I feel like this season has the most potential of the last 3 seasons for sixer fans hopefully they perform well and go far in the playoff I got alot of hope for AI and the sixers this season I think that AI may even make another run at mvp.

Thinking of himself in that matter will just get him motivated to damage next season. But sadly I think he has to keep on dreaming. I doubt he will ever get a ring, IF he doesn?t take a pay cut and go play for the team that everybody known will win. I will root Iverson on till he retires, but I think I won?t be rooting for anything more than another NBA Finals appearance.
