how bout them JETS?!?!? awesome win vs the Patriots they are now one game behind the Pats for the divison lead. They won 17-14. They really did an awesome job today on defense and on offense. They had a pretty good day running the ball and didn't really blow up against the run. Although they let up a 50 yard run to Dillion they made a big stop at the goal line and held the Pats to a FG. The only time the Pats scared me is when the defense let up a 60 yard drive for a TD in half a min to bring the Patriots back and cut the lead to 3. Good job Mangini that bye week really seemed to help us a lot. Now onto the Chicago Bears... another easy win. Btw Pats fans feel free to respond I'd like to hear excuses and such.
It's another bad day for Pats fans. Not only did the dynasty  lose to the Jets but Miami won as well <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (J-E-T-S 1083)</div><div class='quotemain'>Btw Pats fans feel free to respond I'd like to hear excuses and such.</div> I would too. :listening:
No excuses. That was flat out ugly on both sides of the ball. Frankly we should have lost by much more. That roughing the passer penalty near the end of the half was a HORRIBLE call. The Pats had a chance to put the division away, but now they've let the Jets right back into the race. Just an awful feeling. I'm gonna go edit my sig now

That should have been a Jets interception and it most likely would have led to Jets points or at least the Pats would not have scored. The most ridiculous thing about that call was that Hobson hit Brady exactly when he released the ball, Hobson doesn't know that Brady released the ball his head was down so he obviously would finish the tackle. That call could have been the deciding factor, luckily for the Jets it wasn't.
I believe I said this before but it's only a matter of time before we just throw red jerseys on the QB & stick a flag in their pants.

The issue was the defender driving his entire weight on the QB. That became an issue after Siragusa flopped on a QB during a playoff fame and knocked the QB out of the game. (I can't remember who the Ravens were playing.) Mike P> (because I can't remember how to spell his last name), the head of officiating showed another play where Jonathan Vilma turned to the side as he hit Leftwich so that his full weight didn't land on Leftwich and that's what they expect defenders to do. Personally, I think it's naive to think that defenders can totally control those types of collisions especially when you factor in running QBs that you just lucky to get in the first place. By the way, they took a look at Smith of Pittsburgh getting a flag for touching Drew Brees ankle. He didn't even try to take him down, but still got a flag. Mike P. did a really crappy job of explaining that play. I still don't understand why it was a flag.
I think its as dumb as roughing the kicker, or running into the kicker.. how is a guy who id diving to get the ball and slides into the kicker supposed to avoid that??? The brady call is complete bs.. the Brees call was so much worse.. the game is full CONTACT football.. they get paid millions let them take the hits
another thought on the Brady call, it was pouring and the field was a mess, is a linebacker running full speed at a QB supposed to stop dead when he "knows" that the QB released the ball. Crappy call
