According to the Pentagon, there are minerals worth over a trillion dollars under the ground in Afghanistan. Now, J.P. Morgan is starting to tap those riches with the help of the U.S. military. http://management.fortune.cnn.com/2011/05/11/jp-morgan-hunt-afghan-gold/?section=magazines_fortune Very interesting read.
That turns my stomach. Proof that infamous traitor JP Morgan has finally achieved taking over the US Government, long after it's failed attempt at a military overthrow of Roosevelt 8 decades ago. They now have the most powerful army in the world subsidizing their sales force at the expense of millions of Americans losing the homes to debt and their lives to lack of healthcare. Proof also that it's time to gut the runaway train we call "our" military to a merely defensive, home-based force and use the tax money for good, not corporate greed.
If we can help them to do something other than subsistance farming or poppy production, Afghanistan will be a better place.
Nice for them that it's at the expense of America' neediest citizens. I'm not really interested in my tax dollar being used not only to enrich JP Morgan, but also being used to create Afghan billionaires. I can't even guess how you balance this with your stated Libertarian leanings.
