Do you think J-Rich might win Most Improved Player Of The Year? I think he will. Just look at his stats

    Last Year:
MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG

    37.6 .438 .282 .684 1.60 5.10 6.70 2.9 1.10 .53 2.51 2.30 18.7

    This Year

MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG

    37.7 .446 .303 .667 1.80 4.20 6.10 3.6 1.47 .50 2.72 2.40 21.7

I mean look at the difference. Also he has been doing so good playing with Troy Murphy and has been making his teammates so mcuh better. Also he has gotten 42 point game. He should defenitly win. He has been carrying the Warriors on back. We went 0-9 without him. What do you guys think?

No ... there a BUNCH of players in the NBA that are doing better right now ... Larry Hughes, Jamison, Amare, NASH, LeBron just to name a few ...

No disrespect to Richardsn but he's nowhere near how much players like Amare, Nash and Larry Hughes. J-Rich is a great player but he isnt going to take the MIP award unless he's goes on a streak of like 20 games with 30 + and his team winning. I think players like the ones i mentioned and Drew Gooden should be up there in the running but J-Rich has had steady improvement which is good but nothing dramatic.

Stats haven't changed much us. He has improved, but not that much.

Larry Hughes, LeBron James*, Dwywane Wade*, Amare Stoudemire,* Mo Williams, Kyle Korver and others are ahead of him.

*Won't get considered as much because they're still in their 2nd and 3rd seasons.

Mo Williams might get it, but he's in his 2nd season, and this year is the first year where he got real PT.

Not really, he's gotten better, but not most improved better. I don't know why some people were mentioning Nash, he hasn't improved at all, he's just on a team that fits more to his skills. He's still the same offensive player, and still weak defensively.

Bobby Simmons, Nazr Mohammed, Drew Gooden, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Larry Hughes, Amare Stoudemire a little, and the Most Improved Minutes Candidates, Gerald Wallace and Primoz Brezec

I don't think he is anywhere as close to getting this most improved. If anything I would consider Bobby Simmons as my first choice and just because I'm biased I have to say that MoPete can win it if he keeps on playing like he does.

But JRich won't win it for sure. I'll make a bet with anyone that says otherwise. [IMG]

No too many people have stepped up their game far beyond the game they had last year.

I knew I was missing a few players. I think Primoz and Gerald are in the same situation as Mo Williams, players who never got PT, taking advantage of their PT this year.

After looking at the numbers you posted, there isn't much difference from last year's numbers from this years. As Warriors fans we see that he has drastically improved in areas that don't show up on the stat sheet but that only goes so far when selecting players for awards such as MIP.

I think Bobby Simmons will definitely win it. I mean whoever heard of Bobby Simmons until he emerged as a starter after Quentin Richardson left. I mean I knew Simmons was decent, but his shot has really improved and he makes the most of his physical skills. I like his post game.

Well, everyone mentioned everyone pretty much. I think Simmons has a great chance. The only other person who was not mentioned who merits consideration is Grant Hill, depending on the voters view of "improvement" (over just the last year?).

J-Rich is certainly the most improved Warrior this year, he's really stepped it up on both sides of the court.

Neither was Zach Randolph on defense, but the question is did Murphy improve? It looks like he's posting comparable numbers to his 2002 year, but his fg% is dropped and same with his ft%.

^You've got a point, but if the judges look at what guys have done for their team and not the statistical changes, I think J-Rich can win

J-Rich hasn't done anything for the team, he's our best player but even when he puts up 30 points we end up losing..I like how he is starting to show more leadership qualities but he cant carry this team on his back by himself..

^That's not the thing man, without J-Rich, we went 0-9. there are three vital parts to the Warriors, Speedy for running the offense, Cliff for defense, and J-Rich for leadership and points. JR has done a hell of a job in the losses. In the last 5 games he has been averaging 31.2 points per game but JR has bought energy to the team

He definetly does bring alot to this team, Im not trying to bash him cause he busts his ass every game but I dont see him making the all star roster until this team is a winner..unfortunetly if the team isnt winning the star player isnt gonna get as much hype/publicity(see Ray Allen last year compared to this year).

^Yeah, JR right now is doing so much better than lots of stars, it's just annoying he doesn't get a spot on the all-star team
