I saw this on hoopshype.com that there's rumor that the grizzlies are planning to send J will with a veteran player for a young prospect. Is this true????????

It was in the Commercial Appeal [Memphis local newspaper], too. Whether there's any validity to it, I don't know. You're privy to the same information the rest of us are. It [or a similar article] did say out with the old [Jason Williams and scrubs] and in with the older [Alonzo Mourning, and Jason Kidd]. I can't say I'm adverse to that.
Wait a minute, Jason Kidd a Grizzlie? That'd be incredible! I'm a huge Jason Kidd fan! Anyway, I doubt New Jersey would give Kidd up for Williams. Kidd came back yesterday and looked just as good as he did last season. I still think he's a top 15-20 player in the NBA and definitely still the best pure point guard in the NBA.
They gave up Kenyon Martin for three draft picks, and the rest of their roster (Kittles, Harris, others) for nothing. They're looking to dismantle. We should be the ones to capitalize. It makes sense, because they're going to suck anyway, so they might as well have Jason Williams and some scrubs instead of Jason Kidd an 'Zo. The Nets are a sold team, and looking to cut costs ... both Kidd and Mourning have long term, high dollar contracts, and are old. Do it!
Members were saying in the 76ers forum that we are intrested in him. I think him on our team would be pointless. He's a good player but just wouldn't fit.
I'd rather him not be traded to the 76ers because him and iverson are like the same player except iverson takes his 2000 shots per game. But maybe he would help the nets and bring some excitement back to that team with his crossovers and alley oops to RJ while J-Kidd could turn the grizzlies into contenders with his leadership and passing ability.
