WHat does everyone think about this kid out of Iran? He's 7'5" and dunk on his tip-toes. Looks like a big time Project with a capital P.

Here is a link to his profile.

Also heres a picture of him [IMG]

Well he's a second round pick for sure this year, I've read he's a great blocker.

[IMG] Inspector gadget is a good name, probably slow like a sloth though, and is likely lacking in offensive skills, I see him as a guy that really has to refine his skills, Ostertag?

He is one huge project, and whoever drafts him should be prepared to wait a while to see results. He has potential to be a great player with his height and wingspan, but it will take a few seasons before we really get to see what he can do.

This is still on the Golden State forum right? Anyways, I would like to see someone like that with that wingspan to go with his height which is even more difficult to score on. That's pretty intimidating when you're driving to the hole and the guy protecting the goal is always above the rim.

Yeah there's a post in the Warriors forum about him. Mostly joking about his good looks. They say he's kind of slow, but he'll be a big defensive weapon with those arms of his. All he has to do is put a roof over somebody's shot and its blocked. He was practicing in Oakland.

I have studied this guy he's like much less polished Yao. But I haven't been able to do much, because there are so many pictures and he will take over Sam Cassell and Carlos Boozer's spot as weirdest lookin NBA player.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MavsJ33:</div><div class="quote_post">I have studied this guy he's like much less polished Yao. </div>Are you kidding? Can this guy shoot a 20 footer or a 3 point shot like Yao can? I'd think if this guy had as much hype as what you describe he'd be taken higher. I bet he doesn't even come close to the shooting touch and range as yao nor posess the ballhandling, passing and quickness. Because I've seen Yao actually handle the ball and drive and he dribbles like a guard almost. Although he's so tall he'd get it stripped if he had someone on him.

Notice i said much less polished, you're right he hasn't had the hype. So he hasn't had the chance to work with all the big time coaches and hasn't had hard competition to learn from I think if you get this guy with a big guy coach, such as I don't know Kermit Washington just to through a name out, he could become a quality player.

I wasn't surprised when I didn't hear his name called along with that 7'11 guy from Africa.

the 7-11 guy was fake... Jaber is for real.
if I was an NBA GM I would definately let him play on my summer league team, just to see what he can do in real competition and if there's room for improvement.

I only seen some of the draft. And knew he wouldn't get drafted. Hope to see him soon though. Never seen a wingspan like that before. It's kinda hard dunking on somebody who is always above the rim.

Oh and he has to put on some weight as well. 260lbs right? And Yao Ming was considered skinny at 296lbs just being an inch taller. And still is considered skinny at 310lbs, I guess cause all his weight is in his legs. Anyways, getting up to Yao's rookie weight would help I think. Unless he gets slower then he already looks.
