<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) - Portland Trail Blazers guard Jarrett Jack will undergo surgery Friday to remove scar tissue and loose particles from his left ankle, the team announced Thursday. A first-round draft pick last summer, Jack will have the operation in Los Angeles and will face a recovery period of 8-10 weeks. He likely will not participate in the Las Vegas Summer League in July. "Jarrett played the entire season on an ankle that he badly sprained prior to the draft last year," Trail Blazers general manager John Nash said. "It never healed fully and he should be physically superior this coming season as a result of this procedure." Jack was selected with the 22nd overall pick by the Denver Nuggets before being traded to Portland, where he averaged 6.7 points and 2.8 assists in a team-high 79 games. The 6-3 point guard became the first Trail Blazers rookie in 10 years to play at least 1,500 minutes </div> link: http://www.tsn.ca/nba/news_story/?ID=165598&hubname=nba
Speedy recovery to Jack. I've liked him since he was at G-Tech and it looks like, combined with his rookie year, the tender ankle and playing a team with a lot of guards he did what you would expect. I hope he gets time in Portland. I loved the move when they traded for him, when Telfair isn't on the court he can still bring the leadership and quality playmaking off the bench.
