<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>As the Lakers wrapped up their final practice before Sunday's first-round playoff game against the Denver Nuggets, Andrew Bynum and Trevor Ariza sat together on a large medicine ball.

Sunday and throughout the first round, the injured pair figure to be sharing a spot on the bench.

The odds of Bynum returning for the series from his knee injury were already small and Lakers Coach Phil Jackson ruled him out.

"I'd say it's fair to say that," Jackson said today.

As for Ariza, Jackson did not say the defensive-minded small forward was definitely out, but his chances of returning from a foot injury to face the Nuggets are slim.

"I'm not ruling out Trevor," Jackson said, later adding: "He's going to have to do some things, but this is a pretty long series and we have some games in between."</div>

Talk about a blow for the Lakers. It sucks that in all likelihood we'll have to go through at least the first round without both of them. Hopefully each get back by the time the 2nd round starts.

Bynum looks pretty much finished this season.

I don't know about Ariza though, or care.

Same here Im getting the feeling that Bynum is done for the season but Ariza maybe as well is done for the season. But it would be nice if they came back but the Lakers can still win it without them.

Pretty much Bynum is out. No need to rush him back we don't want to ruin hes career at such a young age.

We won't be seeing Bynum until the WCF, which is the best case scenerio. Realistically, he probably won't be back until next season.

As for Ariza, he was said to be making great progress. I think he'll be back in the second round

It's highly unfortunate that Bynum is probably done. If we had him, we'd have an even better shot at winning the title than what we already have.

Didn't someone say that a member named Shape who is affiliated with the Lakers, said that Bynum was ready, and they were just picking their time. (impact purposes/moral/demoralizing the other team)

Yeah, Shape was fed bad information by Gary Vitti.

Shape e-mailed me, saying that he's pretty sure Gary Vitti and his staff is going to be let go after the season.

Ask Brian, he forwarded me the e-mail. Brian and Shape are cousins.

It's all true. That's why Shape hasn't been posting lately. He's too busy with the team

Dodgers are a better team, especially with all the young talent they have. Angels will age in a few years. Just look at your outfield.

He can't just hand out backstage passes for free you know. He can only get four free passes with his position in the organization, which he's going to give to his family. He can give you a discount though, probably 25-30% off, but you have to pay

Lol because of the young talent, the Dodgers are a better team?

You do know that the Angels have one of the most stacked farm systems, right? Nick Adenhart, Howie Kendrick, Eric Aybar, Brandon Wood, Joe Saunders, Kendry Morales, etc...

I'm aware about the Angels having a good farm system. I've heard great things about Adenhart and Kendrick. At this point the Angels are a better team but just wait a few years once Loney, Kemp, Martin, Eithier and Kershaw all develop the Dodgers will be rolling.
