It kind of makes me wonder what could have been. It wasn't widely publicized, but Dallas pursued Jake Delhomme this year pretty well. However, since was unproved, and we had little cap space, Carolina outbid us. Dallas made the playoffs with Quincy Carter, who was fairly close in talent, but has played with many more mistakes than Delhomme. I wonder what Dallas would have done if Delhomme had a star on his helmet this year instead. Perhaps Green Bay would have been playing at Dallas last weekend. I can't say it was a mistake that Delhomme didn't make it to Dallas. I am happy that Parcells is willing to upgrade any position on the team this offseason, but he is not going to put us near cap-hell again...so if a opportunity comes along to grab a impact player, we will be ready.
