The move clears $1.875 million off the cap for Phoenix. Suns owner Robert Sarver has charged Suns managment with finding a way to match Johnson's offer without incurring the luxury tax next season.

According to the same Suns source, the team still intends to match any offer for Johnson.</div>

Ugh, I hate this for Charlotte.

Bernie is seriously starting to worry me with this move.

Of all the big men we could have acquired, the best he can do is Voshkul? Come on now, he can do better than that.

We traded a second round pick for him? That pick will be high in the second round since the Bobcats arn't going to make the playoffs soon. I don't like this move.

It's a conditional 2nd Round pick, so I doubt it's going to be next year's or the year after. Adding another big to the team is never a bad thing, it's a long season and injuries happen and players wear down. Having a cheap 7 footer off the bench is not going to hurt the team.

Isn't Voskuhl an expiring contract anyway?
