But Rose vowed to be on the floor for next Wednesday's season opener against Washington. "I'll be 100 percent by opening night," Rose said. "I'm not having surgery and I'm playing regardless." The left-handed Rose visited the doctor Wednesday morning, then participated in most of the day's practice at the Berto Center with the thumb bandaged. "Basically, (the doctor) told me it's healing the way he wants it to heal, but it's not healing to the point where he wants me to go full-contact practice or play in (tonight's preseason finale)," Rose said. "Really, I can't dribble with my right hand right now. I didn't realize how much I pushed down with my thumb on the ball when I dribble. I never really realized how much you use your other hand for balance when you shoot the ball. It's kind of awkward." If Rose is able to play against the Wizards, he most likely will be in the starting lineup, despite missing every preseason game. "I don't see any reason why not, unless there's a setback," coach Bill Cartwright said. "He's on course to play. We just don't want anything to happen between now and then to set him back. </div> Glad to hear this.

I think it will. Even if Kwame some how ends up being a complete monster and dominates Eddy Curry, we should still be able to take care of them, especially since Stackhouse will be out (right?).
Will Kwame be playing center and guarding Eddy Curry? I thought he would be guarding Chandler. I know he gained weight tho.
