Jamal lewis has a two game suspension - no big deal, however i read this on sportsline - He will also be sentenced to four months in prison, to be served after the regular season ends in January. So i guess if ravens make the playoffs they are in a huge whole to start since he will be busy watching his cornhole in jail.

It won't start this week... Even if the Commish decides today, Lewis will still appeal. I'd guess it will start in two weeks.

Here's the official word from the league office...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The league told Lewis he must file any appeal within five days. He is eligible to play during that period. That means he can play Sunday against the Washington Redskins on the road, Baltimore's final game before a bye week.

If he does not appeal, Lewis will miss the Ravens' home game Oct. 24 against the Buffalo Bills and their game Oct. 31 in Philadelphia.</div>
