Do you guys think that Mash will ever play a single game as a Sixer? I would love to see him play but i heard that he is likely to retire! What do you think?

As far as i know he is going to retire at the end of this season and therefore we will only have to pay 20% of his salary. Whilst I would be interested to see if he could play and what he could offer us from the bench, i really doubt he will ever suit up a game at all.

Oh then why did the Sixers trade for Mash? I mean Big Dog's contract is bigger than Mashburn's.

The obvious, to dump Robinson's massive contract and go smaller- Mashburn's. Plus, since Mashburns going to retire, that means we'll only have to pay 20% of his salary. Not to mention once he retires, we'll save a bunch of cap space that is needed to resign the young players such as Dalembert, Korver, Green, or Salmons.

Oh yeah, and we get Rodney Rogers, who is like a poor man's Corliss Williamson. Since he already played within O'Brien's system before, he should be fitting in perfectly and contributing to the team.

Mashburn has had many ongoing problems with his knee and that is why we will not see him suit up. As for dumping Robinson's contract to go smaller with Mashburns, it was a great idea because we can use that spare cash to keep our young starts together and build for the future. I never thought we would get rid of the contract. Good on you Billy King!!!!

Ok now I got it! But do you guys think that there is a realistic way to sign Dalembert and Korver again since I really don't want them to leave Philly?
