    Also, allow me to offer a limited defense of JJ. Here's what I wrote about him at draft time
    So maybe he's 235lb, but if he's especially looking to play the 3, that's still a lot better than 257lbs. Folks overestimate the value of weight. I'd rather have a quicker, in shape guy. So what he's done off the court was good.

    On the court, I didn't look at him last year and think he was outright terrible. Remember he suffered a pretty major injury and played out the string hurting. I'm not gonna say anything bad about that. Looking at his splits, the only points where he played much but wasn't hurt was in March. So how'd he do?

    FG% 51.7%
    3p% 38.1%
    8 points and 4 rebounds in 21mpg.

    Those are not terrible numbers. Obviously I don't expect him to be Carlos Boozer out there, but compared to last year I expect him
    * In much better basketball shape
    * More experienced
    * Healthy
    * And better utilized by a better coach

    Anyway, with Boozer out, I hope he gets some burn and I'm still cautiously optimistic he might show improvement

    Well, this is his one chance, really, to make it count and get some court time. Once Boozer is back, there's nothing for him. I can't say I'm optimistic, but, perhaps while Lu is playing the four, James can be a bigger three, maybe?
