Here is someone I personally like to watch in college, and I am wondering what other people think of this guy. He will undoubtedly be another part of the combo guard trend, as he is a much better scorer than passer. Curry has a very nice shot, good range on his shot, and pretty good handles. Does anyone see him doing anything once he goes to the NBA, whatever year that may be?
I like this kid alot, I've actually been watching him a while. He does have a nice shot, and he is a pretty good passer. I'm sure he'll be staying till his senior year, and I think he can make some noise as a good NBA prospect. He's got good size for a PG at 6'3, also. Like alot of guys, pre-draft workouts will help him alot, and if he can lead OSU on a run in the NCAA tourny he could be a 1st rounder, anything can happen though.
I edited the title because it's JamesOn. No biggie, but I feel the need to fix little things like that lol. I think he is going to be like Juan Dixon in the NBA. He'll have an excellent college career, but once he gets to the NBA, he'll find out that he's too small to handle the average NBA 2-guard and that he doesn't have the skills/mindset to be a successful PG. I think for the time being, in college, this kid is a very good scorer, a good rebounding guard, and he can really light it up from deep. But, in the NBA, I think he'll struggle and be something like a Juan Dixon.
Well just saw this topic and he is a recovering well after his streaky sophomore year. He is a good shooter with unlimited range, pretty good passer, just like CB32 said, he is too small for shooting guard, and doesn't mind of a point guard. For example, against Texas when Eaton fouled out in the final minutes of the 2nd half he had to take over the point against their press. That is why they went into overtime. They had a couple turnovers and made it a game and Texas got some momentum. It wasn't all his fault, but he had a big role.He is a great three point shooter who can make it from anywhere on the court. I see him going in the 1st round, but staying for his senior year. I see him eventually being a starter in the league despite his size. Maybe a spark off the bench.
I think that he is a pretty good player. He is a very good shooter and his passing skills are pretty good as well from what I have seen. His height is obviously going to cause him problems because he isn't tall enough to be a SG like alot of you others have said. From when I saw him play last season, he has improved by a whole lot. What I have noticed sometimes though, is that his team doesn't find him enough to get him shots. Like their game against Texas A & M. He was shooting great and the team all of a sudden stopped going to him. I think that is one reason that they lost the game. Obviously another was the superb defense by A&M. But, I think this kid would go early 2nd round in a draft due to his size. His game SHOULD give him the ability to go late first round, but I think his size drops him off about 7 picks or so. This is all depending on his senior season of course. If he stays for his senior year that is.
