"Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner insisted he was "fine," but he spent a lot of time in the trainer's room after Saturday's game. Langenbrunner went headfirst into the boards again on a hit by Niklas Kronwall 18 seconds into the third period.

"That's not the way you want to go into the boards again," said Langenbrunner, who did not miss a shift. "I just kind of got caught in an awkward position."

Langenbrunner also went headfirst into the boards on a hook from behind by Buffalo's Tyler Ennis on Nov. 10. Langenbrunner insisted he was "fine" after that one and went on to miss eight games with a herniated disk/pinched nerve in his neck. He said he did not aggravate that injury Saturday."
