<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jamison Remains Quiet Force Antawn Jamison, 31 and in the last year of his contract, is putting up numbers that merit All-Star attention and that will have suitors looking to pilfer him from Washington next summer. Jamison is averaging 21.9 points and a career-high 10.1 rebounds a game, and he is just one of five players in the league averaging at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. "I've been blessed," the ninth-year pro out of North Carolina said. "I've had a lot of ups and downs throughout my career, but I've just continued to work. I've learned not to take anything for granted. I was taught to have a great work ethic from both of my parents. The most important thing is to just go out there and have fun." -- The Washington Times</div>
It's amazing how both him and Caron are carrying this team. Who woulda thunk that without Gilbert, they'd be above .500 at 14-13? I certainly wouldn't have seen that coming.
At this point, I think the Wizards should consider trying to snag Elton Brand in FA rather than Gilbert Arenas. This would leave the Wizards with a lineup of: Daniels Butler Jamison Brand Haywood Now Jamison won't recieve another max contract most likely so we'll have enough money to sign a terrific backup PG. This will put us up to the next level. I know it's very un-likely but this team has proven that they can win without Arenas.
You'll have to change your name to CButler, lol. I agree though, Caron Butler has proven he can have a team built around him.
I didn't want to start a new thread for this small quote, so I'll just bump this thread <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Asked to describe Jamison's game, Denver's Kenyon Martin said, "Awkward, but effective. He gets it done, and that's what counts."</div> It is a true comment, but it is pretty funny for Kenyon to be calling another player's offensive game awkward.
