he deserves it...i think he averaged 13 points off the bench and was a reliable, instant offense-scorer for the Mavs...
Im happy to see Jamison get the award,I thought it will be Earl Boykins but as it got later into the season,Earl didn't get needed minutes.Great to see players like Jamison not complain about coming off the bench.
It was obvious he moved from being the star of his team to the bench. He deserves it, He was Warriors go-to guy.
I always thought it was going to be Ginobili, congratulations to him though, he is one sick bench player. My favorites have always been Jackson, Mason and Ginobili myself though. This guy rebounds well and is a scoring machine. I'm proud to see him not complain about being a 6th man, and look he even got something for it. Well done.
Antawn Jamison on the bench? That's pretty much a guaranteed 6th man award from the beginning of the season. The guy would be a star player for just about any team in the NBA but got stuck in a tough situation in Dallas. Gotta give him props for producing off the bench for a team that is stacked at the SF position.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Shard:</div><div class="quote_post">The guy would be a star player for just about any team in the NBA but got stuck in a tough situation in Dallas. </div>No he wouldn't. He is not a star. He cannot create a shot for himself, he doesn't make the people around him better. He is a scrappy player. I'm not trying to knock him but its obvious to see. He is in a perfect situation in Dallas. He can't lead a team, he is a complementary player that can come in and get offensive rebounds and he is good around the basket.
That was an easy pick, How do yo not pick a star who comes off the bench? I think Jamison can lead a team, he just had a crappy supporting cast and was stuck in the West. Did you forget this is the same guy who scored 51 back-to-back points.
I think Jamison deserved it but,but I think Mannu should have got because he brings a lot of swagger to games.Another person who should also get some recognition is Brad Miller he is an all-star and he comes off the bench,he is just a player who will always give 100% and hustle. But congrats to Jamison anyway.
Agree with B22, without him the Spurs game is just half as interesting and spirited. Brad Miller as well although there are just too many good players there that make the game even when he is on court. Felicitation Jamison, great season for him.
