Czech Legend Jan Koller Linked to Birmingham But Perfect for Sunderland, Hull, West Brom & Stoke.

Giant Czech centre-forward Jan Koller is reportedly being linked to Championship side Birmigham whilst in talks with a Russian club over a 18-month deal. However, despite being 35 the 6 ft 8 centre-forward would be an ideal short-term signing for Premier League new boys Hull, West Brom and Stoke as they look to survive their first seasons in the top flight. Roy Keane’s Sunderland should also be interested as they’re currently on the hunt to replace injured striker Kenwyne Jones who is out for the season and who better to fill their huge gap than the best Czech forward in history.

The striker showed in 3 matches at Euro 2008 that he still possesses the ability to cut it at the top level despite a lack of pace and would surely suit English football more than any other League in the world. He would be available at a knock-down fee as his club side Nurnberg were relegated from the Bundesliga last season as Koller struggled with 2 goals in 14 League appearances.

The much travelled striker has played for 7 different clubs in 4 different countries and one last hoorah in England would surely be of interest to him. Koller has won League titles in 3 different countries (Czech Republic, Belgium and Germany) but it’s his international record that is most impressive. He holds the record as the highest international scorer in Czech history with a staggering 55 goals in 90 appearances. The striker retired from the national team after the Czech’s lost to Turkey at Euro 2008 though he departed controversially after playing a part in the red card of the opposition goalkeeper.

The 35-year-old’s club record is also impressive as 163 in 392 career League appearances illustrates. He’s struggled at his past 2 clubs Monaco and Nurnberg but his size and strength would be of great benefit to the Premier League new boys and could invaluable in their bids for survival.</div>

I'd love to see Jan Koller in a Hull City kit next season.
