He shines, then he disappears. He inspires, then he deflates. When is Marko finally going to become the consistent contributer from the PG spot the Clippers need to compete in the west? Will he ever? I've tried to reserve judgement, keep the faith and hope for the best concerning Marko Jaric' game, but my patience is beginning to run out.

Would this team be better off with Dooling and Jaric reversing their roles? Dooling has been looking better as of late, Jaric has fallen back into a lull. All I'm asking for is a little consistency, please! I'm even willing to put Doug Overton in the starting lineup if things don't start getting better. What do you think the Clippers should do?

    Last five games: 6.6 ppg, 6.2 apg, 3.4 rpg, 0.4 spg. 13-44 from the field = 29.5%

Marko is a pretty good player, but I still don't think he should be playing PG. He's definitely a natural SG as you can tell after watching 5 minutes of him, and I think he'd be a little more consistent at his natural spot. Ofcourse we have Q there, so that is kind of a problem but if we can bring in a decent starting PG in the offseason I think he can be a consistent 6th man.

I agree, I liked Marko a lot more coming off the bench last season. He can play the point, but I don't think he will ever be fully comfortable at the position full-time. I guess for the remainder of the season we're stuck with him as the default starter, but I just can't help but think how much better this team might be if Andre Miller were still here running the show. The Clippers might have 32-35 wins at this point with a solid, consistent pg.

I feel you OgShowtime, he does well for a while, then just completley falls off. His inconsistent play is getting a bit on my nerves too. Sometimes, I won't even notice he's on the floor, when I'm watching Clipper games. I'd definetley start giving Dooling some more time, he's been patient to get his playing time this season, and when his oppourtunity has come, he seems to produce decent scoring numbers when he gets some time. I wouldn't quite look Overton's way though. The point is, the Clippers have no choice but to keep giving Jaric the time. I wish House could play PG the right way, but he's strictly a scoring guard, I think LA will look in the free agency pool in the off-season, and try to pick up a Point Guard. They have the cash to do so, and that would improve their team in so many areas of the floor.

I thought it was a wrap last year, after the Clips signed Andre Miller I thought it was finally going to be the Clippers time to shine, and suprise everyone. Dre was solid at times, but he's not really the PG the Clippers needed IMO. Sure, they would probably be a better team this year, but as an outlook of overall needs, he wasn't the fit. I wish Baron Davis had came through a couple off-season's ago, he would have made a nice fit in a Clipper uni, or even Arenas last off-season. I prefer a scoring PG, that's just me. :biggrin2:

^ I don't think we really need anymore scoring. We need a true PG who can get his teammates involved and defend the other quick little PGs in this league. We have plenty of scoring to go around with Brand, Corey, Q, and Kaman. I think Kaman will have a huge next year and become a huge part of our team, and there is no doubt he has the talent. I'd like to see us bring in a PG who can do what is needed, a guy like Snow, who I mentioned earlier.

I actually meant for next year, assuming Q will be gone, I think it would take a lot more than a PG like Snow to get the job done.

Yeah, I'm talking about next year also. I don't expect Q to be back, but I do hope for it. If we do lose him, I hope we atleast get something for it in a sign-and-trade. I doubt we'd ever get Snow, but I think a player like him is what we need. A big PG who can defend and get his teammates involved.

We wouldn't even be talking about this if Sterling allowed Baylor to pull the trigger on the Baron Davis deal...a superstar WHO ACTUALLY WANTED TO BE A CLIPPER, and the Clipps don't get him, the irony...not to mention he's a local kid who'll draw a lot of fans....I was upset when Charlotte selected Davis with the third pick (Clippers had 4th)...but finally when the Clipps had their opportunity to get him, they blow it...okay, I'm ranting now...This post is about Jaric rite??

Okay...Jaric isn't the Clippers answer at point IMO...I'm hoping they use this years pick to select UNC's Felton...he'd be a perfect fit for the Clippers...he's a natural pass-first point guard....
