Hard one for me, I actually like both players, I got to see a lot of Hayes being from Delaware and seeing some Wiz games the past 2 years. Both seem to have injury situations, with Hayes seemingly being the one out the most. So it's kind of hard to gauge, but Hayes definately has the more potential, not dissing Daniels who I think is the better around player. I just like Hayes shooting touch and slashing. Daniels is the better rebounder, post player and passer. Can't go wrong with either, but I can't pick one because both have been injured.
I've seen a ton of Jarvis Hayes, since his days at Georgia. I havent really seen Daniels play. I know Hayes is a well rounded player. Hayes is a good slasher and shooter. But just like Rok said, both have been hurt so it's hard to say right now.
I'd go with Daniels. He is capable of scoring around the rim at ease. He doesn't get many opportunities in Dallas because the point guards aren't playmakers. Harris has the potential to be that type of player but right now he is a scoring point guard.
This is tough, Hayes is a better player, but Daniels is more durable and reliable. bc i think Hayes can overcome his injury problems, i'll take him.
^See the reason you pick Daniels is the main reason I don't.Daniels hasn't been consistent enough, and can't seem to keep playing time, and isn't able to stay on the court when he gets there...now that may be partly Avery's fault, but some blame has to put on Daniels. Now I wouldn't say Hayes has more potential or will be the better all around player, because Daniels has the potential to get many 30+ point games, as he did 2 years ago at the end of the season...but he just hasn't done it consistently.I'd take Hayes right now, as hard as it is to say that as a Mavs fan.

I'll take Marquis Daniels. He's a decent shooter, strong rebounder, and is an underated defensder. Just a more all-around and versatile player. Hayes is nice scorer but is more injury prone and doesn't have the all-around skills Daniels possesses.

Daniels plays much better as a starter. That is why I have hope the mavs win tonight because of Daniels. Daniels is a good slasher and defender and occassionally can get up on assists to. Right now he is a tease since you don't see it consistently but I still have hope he will develop consistency.
