The Chicago Cubs are bringing back right-handed starting pitcher Jason Hammel, a source confirmed Monday. Hammel, 32, will get a two-year deal for $18 million with a club option for a third season and a $2 million buyout, according to sources. The Cubs signed him to a one-year deal last offseason before trading him, along with Jeff Samardzija, to the Oakland Athletics on July 4.
