The New York Post reported Saturday that Kidd, still irate over the recent fire-sale trades of Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles, has decided to wait and see what moves the Nets make next before making a definitive move.

"He voiced his displeasure," one source told the Post, saying the meeting was drawn out and heated. "Jason's not happy with what has gone on. He didn't demand a trade, but it may only be a matter of time."

Two sources inside the Nets organization told the New York Daily News that while the team has discussed trading Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks, no deal is in the works at this time.

Neither Kidd nor his agent, Jeff Schwartz, returned phone calls Friday. Ratner and Thorn had no comment about the meeting.

Kidd returned early from a vacation in Mexico to express his anger and disappointment about the Nets' trades. One source told the Daily News that Kidd, who is still on crutches from July 1st surgery.</div>

Yeah...I hope the Lakers aren't dumb enough to go after him. They could trade off Payton, George and some others to get him, but that would be a waste and would leave them with Kidd's 5 year contract (right?) and Kobe's newest one...and will Kidd even last another five years? Now, if it was the Jason Kidd about 4 years ago...him and Kobe on the same team gives me chills...look at how Kidd and K-Mart played...

I wouldnt be suprised if he got traded but I think he is to loyal to demand a trade, inside he might want to be traded but I doubt he would demmand a trade.

Although Kidd wont demand a trade he deserves to get out of NJ along with RJ the Nets basically traded away players that the Nets needed with RJ and J Kidd so now its like all thats left is Rj and Kidd and I doubt that they can get anything done by themselves because they have no other role players.

He doesnt hold much leverage demanding a trade right now, that why yesterday when everybody was going crazy think kidd was going to demand a trade because he was meeting with Ratner. Kidd can demand a trade but it wont mean much as far as benefiting him because there is no where to send him, that he would be happy with outside Dallas. And even they may want his contract. And if they do they will not be offering to much that benefits the Nets, Kidd's value is worth more than Walker's cap space & Josh Howard. So a deal with them would most likely have to bring in a third team for the Nets to truely benefit.

Kidd had his meeting, I bet Rod thorn & Bruce Ratner told him that they will put together a cost effiecent team, that can stay in the mix in the east & rebuild at the same time. Thats why the Nets are loading up on draft picks, so even if they are stuck in the mid- of the pack in the east, they can still get picks like a losing team. The Nets are going to add Eric Williams & Ron Mercer by all accounts, probably buy out Lucious Harris, which saves them like a million + & then sign Eddie Griffin for a year or so, and that the unit kidd will have to go to war with next year.

    PG: Jason Kidd/Jacque Vaughn/Zoran Planinic
    SG: Ron Mercer/Rodney Buford
    SF: Richard Jeffferson/Eric Williams/Brian Scalabrine
PF: Aaron Williams/ Eddie Griffin/ Brian Scalabrine
    C: Jason Collins/Kyle Davis/Nenad Kristic

It wont be any where close to the Nets team they have put out on the court the past 3 years but we have had much worse teams in our past. This team will win more then the late 80's- early 90's teams with Woolridge & Buck and then Roy Hinson & Chris Morris. And the Post lockout Nets etc. with Steph, we will be all right.
