Maybe I should put this in the gamethread maybe not, I just wanted to point out how everyone says Kidd has lost a step and defense at the PG means nothing. Well last night Gordon torched us in the first half so they stuck kidd on him in the second half and basically held him scoreless and turned the whole game around. This is what proves that defense at the PG isnt useless and overrated.

When people say Kidd has lost a tremendous step, they should look at games against Chicago, PHX etc. The guy is amazing.

You can point out a few things, but overall he is still the best point guard. He does everything a point guard should do, and more. You think Nash is better? That's great, but I can't agree with that. Call me bias, I don't care. Kidd is still the best in my book.

It's also amazing to see Kidd hold the best player. In crunchtime he guards Kobe, Wade, Gordon etc. How many point guards do that?

Kidd is a better defender and rebounder.
Nash is a better scorer and shooter.
    Both are great passers.
Overall, Kidd is a better point guard cause he is the better defender.

For the Nets, It Begins and Ends with Kidd

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">On and off the court, it's been all about Jason Kidd this season. Injuries may have decimated the Nets' rotation, personal issues may have clouded team chemistry and inconsistency may have riled coach and fans alike, but Kidd's play has remained the constant. His virtuoso performance against the Bulls Thursday night proved once again, as Steve Kerr notes, that Kidd is "the best player in the division", and as Rod Thorn states, "different...a freak".</div>
