Guys want it both ways. Trade me, oh by the way, pay me too. In the real world, you want to leave? Go ahead, there's the door, good luck. Oh but there's a guaranteed contract? How about we buy you out? Yep that ends the trade talk real fast.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind him suggesting a trade, but with that extension? Not likely. How 'bout we cancel that contract, then we'll get you traded real fast?
This is just really disgusting. We already knew the Warriors were spiraling downhill, but I don't think we heard the worst yet and hit rock bottom. It's just absolutely mind boggling. First, if one automatically takes the position opposite of Rowell's, then they will be right 100% of the time. How stoopid can Rowell be? Just when you think he's the stoopidest man on the planet, you realize Cohan hired him because he was the right man for the job to guard his money. Second, we still have Don Nelson as head coach who has completely lost his marbles. He's yelling and blaming everyone except himself. This includes Jackson, which prompted his wanting to get out, and Maggette, who has also asked his agent to get him out of Golden State. Who's next? Crawford? Randolph? Monta? Bellinelli? Not only that, Nelson continues to insist on playing small ball. It's like he's never met a small man that he didn't like unless he was a big man. It was the perfect move for Rowell giving fruitcake Nelson his extension. It would be great for Nelson to take a sabbatical in the middle of the season, but I've never heard such a thing happening in the NBA, and we have to count on Rowell to do the right thing .
Didn't he do exactly that in Dallas. I thought I remembered him having some mystery "medical issue" that only time in Hawaii could cure. I thought he basically let Johnson take over for a while before he was officially out. If he does take some time off, I wonder if the wins will still count toward his total since he is still officially the coach.
He may change his mind about that when he starts seeing the Oracle half full, fewer luxury boxes and season tickets being sold, television, radio, and sponsorship contracts declining, and obviously no playoff revenue. I normally go to a handful of Warrior games every year, but I certainly won't be this year. I don't want to support this travesty.
This whole franchise needs leadership starting from the top. No vision whatsoever. I do think this team would have been all right for a non-playoff team if they put in positions that can defend the other team's positions. They never play this style, though. It's all about our one guy that throws the ball in the hoop rather than doing a decent team job of denying the other team a shot on goal.
