If Jay Williams never got into his accident, how good do you think he would have become? A lot of people were down on him last year because he struggled for most of the season, some were saying he was just one of them overrated duke players. In my opinion, he would have become an all-star by his 3rd or 4th season. He was just going thru some growing pains with the triangle offense. I mean, whose the last rookie to have major success while playing in the triangle. your thoughts...
I don't think we can really consider him a lost talent yet. His future has still been undetermined. But, I do know one thing, Hinrich would have a different address if it wasn't for that accident. But, nonetheless, I think he'd have been a good player. He at least had a lot of talent and potential. But, again, don't count him out yet.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Moo2K4:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't think we can really consider him a lost talent yet. His future has still been undetermined</div> well, I'm going on the assumption that he'll never be the same. It saddens me to say that because I thought he was going to be something special. DeMarr Johnson was in a similar situation and has yet to get himself back in the league. It's a shame because this guy had a world of talent also...
if he didn't get into this accident, i think he'll be in Jamal's position now...a bit struggling...and rumors of being traded...
Another person who went through this, Bob Sura. He hasn't been the same since. But, you never know, Jay might be a lil different. Who knows. Really all depends on the medical treatment you get and how you allow yourself to recover. But, he's not lost yet. He might never be the same, but, he's not done yet.
