The Utah Jazz continued their playoffs push in the Western Conference with an 89-76 victory over the New Orleans Hornets. The win moved them into sole eighth place and gave them a half-game advantage over the Blazers and Nuggets. Gordan Giricek scored 19 points to lead the Jazz on the road.

This wasn't a great game from the Jazz, but a win is a win and that's all that matters. Mikki Moore contributed 15 points off the bench in 15 minutes. Utah had 5 guys with over 10 points in the game, and AK wasn't one of them. They are a half game over both Denver and Portland now for the 8th spot.
