<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Three things that became clear in the din of the Jazz's center-less post-draft stir are, first, they wanted a 5; second, they did not want a 5 so badly that they were willing to get stuck with a stiff; and third, they really did want BYU's Rafael Araujo, but were unable to swing a deal to move themselves toward the lofty place it would have taken to get him.
Turns out, Jazz owner Larry Miller wasn't posturing or selling anyone a lemon when he said the week before the draft that the team would take Araujo with its 14th pick, were he available.
But the Jazz knew he wouldn't be.
"When we worked him out, I didn't think there was any way 13 teams would pass him up," said Jazz VP Kevin O'Connor, a day after the dust settled. "We tried hard to move up. We tried like heck to move up specifically to get Rafa. Our priority was to get a big player. We offered two [first-round] picks, but couldn't get ourselves in a position to get him." </div>

Well either way the Raps took him way to high and the Jazz got Snyder who will be 10 times the player Rafael will ever be. Bust all over that guy plus playing in Toronto around the soft Carter it's over for him.
