Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz agreed to terms with on a two-year contract with free agent Raja Bell on Friday. Pending the outcome of a physical, the team will sign the guard to a contract early next week. Bell played in 75 games last season for the Dallas Mavericks, including 32 starts, and averaged 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists per contest. The 27-year-old Bell was not drafted by an NBA franchise. After playing in the CBA, he was signed as a free agent by San Antonio on August 2, 2000. The Spurs then waived Bell just over two months later. Philadelphia signed Bell to a 10-day contract on April 6, 2001 and re-signed him for the remainder of the season on April 16. In 154 career games, Bell has averaged 3.2 points and 1.7 boards per outing. http://www.basketball.com/cgi-bin/articycl...+agree+to+terms
Good signing for the Jazz. He is a good defender and a pretty good ball handler. If he gets good minutes for the Jazz, I think he could show us something.
Utah got another guy with a lot of hustle, who will play his hardest every night. Definitely a good signing, now if they can combine the defense with the hustle they might be able to surprise a lot of people. Now for some offense.....
