He wasn't the Jazz's first choice in free agency last summer. He wasn't their second. In fact, Raja Bell was pretty much the last player standing along the fence when they chose up sides for the season. Well, I guess we'll take this guy. But signing Bell is turning out to be more than just a last-minute, low-low-price contingency plan. The 27-year-old shooting guard is having the best season of his young career by far, and appears poised to become the next never-heard-of-him guard to use a stint with the Jazz to develop into a solid player. http://www2.sltrib.com/jazz/Main/Story.asp...2004&NUM=135750 I've been impressed with Raja's play this season, he's a good 3pt shooter who can step it up when he has to. Deshawn's improved his game with Raja around to.
I wasn't too fund of the chose of Raja when the Jazz signed him this summer. All I knew was he was a decent defensive stopper on the perimeiter. This year, he has showed he can score, something that he didn't have the opporitunity with the Mavs or 76ers. He's one of the clutchest guys the Jazz have on the roster this year, and I could see him with the Jazz a long time, a true Sloan type Player.
