<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">While the Utah Jazz knew for about 10 days that it was possible they could lose assistant coach Gordon Chiesa to the New Jersey Nets ? he accepted an offer to be their top assistant coach Thursday ? Jazz president Dennis Haslam and senior VP of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor both said they have not discussed possible replacements. O'Connor has been in Chicago at the NBA pre-draft camp all week, along with coach Jerry Sloan and assistant Tyrone Corbin, but he said he hasn't even talked with Sloan about the Jazz vacancy. Haslam expects to "come up with a plan" starting Monday afternoon, after the Jazz group returns from Chicago Monday morning. O'Connor said by phone that there is little hurry. "I don't think we're in any rush. It's not like we're replacing a full staff." He added that he and Sloan want to get through the hectic Chicago camp, with all its meetings and games, before even thinking about hiring someone. He also said it will be up to Sloan to choose who joins his staff. Haslam agreed there's no real timetable yet for replacing Chiesa, who was on the Jazz staff as the second assistant for the past 16 years. "It will take some discussion," Haslam said.</div> <div align="center">Source</div>
