<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Utah Jazz announced Monday the signing of its top two draft picks: The Colony's Deron Williams and Skyline's C.J. Miles. The Jazz selected Williams, a 6-3 point guard who starred at Illinois for three seasons, with the No. 3 pick of the June 28 draft. Terms of his contract were not disclosed. The Jazz traded three first-round picks to Portland to move up to No. 3. The Jazz selected Miles, a 6-6 shooting guard and recent Skyline graduate, in the second round. Miles' father, Calvin Sr., said his son will receive a little more than $1 million over the two-year guaranteed deal. League rules don't require teams to give second-round picks guaranteed deals or more than the NBA minimum of about $400,000 a season. "They made the statement, 'We drafted him to play,' " Miles Sr. said. "Prove it. They did." </div> Source
I thought that Miles was going back to school and help Texas, but when they drafted Williams I thought it was a good choice their point guard of the future.
