This is a good question: However, it needs clarifying. Does it mean: 1. hated in a timeless sense, that is, identify one franchise that you hate above all (even if the current team is shit and doesn't bother you) and then pick a player from any time in that franchise's history (including one of the the current, innocuous players)? 2. The franchise you have hated most in history and a player from the time you hated them worst? 3. The franchise you hate most NOW, a player any time in its history 4. The franchise you hate now, a current player For me the answers would probably be: 1. Bulls, Joakim Noah 2. Bulls, Toni Kukoc 3. Warriors, Sarunas Marciulonis 4. Warriors, Shaun Livingston
So do you have to buy the jersey of the player you hate most on that team, or you can buy the jersey of a guy on the hated team that you actually kind of like?
I will not get a jersey from a team I hate. When Aldridge went to the spurs I gave away my Sean Elliot spurs jersey
Lakers/take your pick on the player would be the easy answer for a Blazers fan. But, I wouldn't by any Lakers jersey ever.
1. Lakers, Magic Johnson 2. Lakers, ...sheesh, was there anyone likable or innocuous on the Shaq/Kobe Lakers? Gary Payton, I guess 3. Knicks, Kristaps Porzingis 4. Knicks, Kristaps Porzingis I don't really find any franchise currently particularly hateable. I probably have the most disdain for the Knicks right now.
I own a #32 Lakers jersey! Respect the player (his career) that wore that jersey! He was a winner - through and through.
Living in LA, I've come across a few Lakers jerseys. I had a Champion Wilt Chamberlin and a Blue Jerry West jersey. I gave them both away to friends. If you held a gun to my head, I'd get an Eddie Jones.
