Tuesday, August 12 Jerseys, SUV among items missing -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press BOWIE, Md. -- Thieves broke into former Minnesota point guard Rod Strickland's suburban Washington, D.C., home and made off with a huge haul, including several of his basketball jerseys. Authorities said the burglars stole Strickland's jerseys from the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, Washington Wizards and his latest team, the Timberwolves. Also taken was a retro Washington Bullets jersey. All were in glass frames, which had been smashed. "These are the type of jerseys that would stand out as very unique. They have the No. 1 on them.
