KC is playing hard ball with the Jets in the negotiations for the services of Herm Edwards....KC officials think that if they back off, the Jets will have to fire Edwards because they dont want a coach that doesnt want to be there....if they fire him, they get nothing, so KC is offering very little as compensation....looks like the Jets will lose thier head coach to another team, get little or nothing in return, and take a seat behind the other 7 teams looking for coaches, since they will be entering the market search so late....S-C-R-E-W-E-D.....and Im loving it!
I heard the jets don't want a 1st round pick as they can't afford two let alone one. Herm IMO is as good as gone. It troubles me greatly to see the jets in such dire straits. The only thing funnier is the bills who won 31 games in the Donahoe era which ties the Browns for worst in that time frame. Then, they Circle the wagons & hire Marv Levy? What was Cornelius Bennett or Jim Kelly not available? I am sure OJ is.
gosh guys after all i've done for you how could u be happy in a time like this? well i'll tell u guys something yea ok we arent gonna get a lot but that doesnt mean we are behind 7 other teams for coaches because we have two candidates in the organization. My number 1 choice defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson has a interview with the Saints soon, i would hope the the Jets do it soon if they are gonna because he turned a upper 20s ranked defense in 2003 and turned them into #4 in 2004 thats pretty good, he came from the Ravens to the Jets. Hes a fiery guy and turned his defense into a fiery team they took on his personality in 04 IMO. #2 longshot but its possible is Mike Hermandinger offensive coordinator. I really hope if this happens to Herm that Donnie takes over i think it'd be great for the team.
It helps the Jets that they settled this so soon....if it lingered, and it threatened to do so, it would have been devastating.....it already cost them the chance to interview Childress, if they wanted too....
