<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Visiting hour Gay isn't the only restricted free agent visiting with the Jets today. They are also hosting Bengals offensive tackle Stacy Andrews. The 6-7, 342-pound Andrews was tendered a one-year, $1.3 million contract by the Bengals; if the Jets sign him, the Bengals would receive a second-round draft choice as compensation if they don't match the offer. It is rare for teams to host multiple visits with restricted free agents. It is possible that the Jets are deciding between making offer sheets to Gay or Andrews, or the team might simply be doing advance work for next season, when both players are scheduled for unrestricted free agency.</div>http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...ill_be_matched/

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/blog/Both of the restricted free agents who visited the Jets today left without an offer from the team. According to Richard Moran, the agent for Bengals OT Stacy Andrews, the Jets are ?doing their homework.? But they have yet to turn in any term papers. As for Randall Gay, the Patriots cornerback has departed from his visit with the Jets without signing or being presented with an offer sheet. That doesn?t mean one won?t be forthcoming from the Jets, but it could mean that the Jets are simply getting a jump on next year?s business for when Gay becomes an unrestricted free agent. Then again, the Jets may have just been poking the Patriots with a stick for a few days. Don?t forget, this story broke in a Boston paper.</div>

I looked him up, coming out of college he was seen as a physical freak that was very raw (didn't play football until his senior year of college, was a scholarship track athlete). If the Jets feel he's our RT, then I say do it. Get him a good long contract. If it gets done, we'll have traded 1 2nd round pick for starting RB and a starting RT. Not a bad pay off.
