<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JHair @ Aug 10 2006, 03:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Pennington --> Ramsey --> Clemens</div>That would make sense, but I have a feeling hes gonna do something crazy to shake them up like Starting Bollinger.
Jets Offense - Drive 1-Chad Nickle and Dimed like usual, his longest complete pass was only like 9 yards. -Blaylock and Askew looked ok out of the backfield, no long runs but they got decent yardage.-Coles, Dwight looked solid, McCrapeins sucked like usual.-D'Brick struggled a bit on Simeon Rice but recovered well-Mangold had a false start. Guess hes running a lap tomorrow.-About 10 different formations.-Drove about 40 yards.
Jets Defense Drive 1- Strait started at saftey? They said Coleman was hurt but an interesting move nonetheless.- Ray Mickens had a pass interference, looked like he was within the 5 yard cushion though so im not sure if it was the right call or not though. - Defense looked solid against the run, let Alstott have a nice 8 yd carry but we stopped them without them getting a long drive off (maybe 20 yards or so)
Offense Drive 2 -Pennington and crew back out there Nickle and Dimeing, all the way up to the redzone so they're moving the ball. Chad Fumbles in the Red Zone, Tampa ball.
Bucs next dirve: jets shoulda had a turnover. forced the fumble, yet the ref said that there was no conclusive evidence taht the jets recovered it, depite the fact that the jets had the ball at the whistle...bucs are running well, jets have had a few mental mistakes
Dude, Kellen Clemens kicks ass.... :drool:I forgot what a 20 yard pass looks like after seeing Pennington for so long. lol
Jets play badly in the second half, lose 16-3.The second/third team defense couldnt stop the run and the Bucs just kept pounding it in on us. PositivesChad Pennington - About what I expected, he didnt throw the ball deep but played his game with short accurate passes. He did fumble Twice, One of which was lost but he was solid more often then not. Showed a nice chemistry with Laveranues Coles and Tim Dwight. 9/14 passing for 54 yards. Kellen Clemens - Showed the ability to run the offense and the 2 minute offense, showed a nice chemistry with Jerricho Cotchery. Had a poor last drive, but that was because of a penalty and a few offensive line breakdowns leading to a sack. Overall 10/14 passing for 92 yards.Laveranues Coles - Ran the short but sweet routes that Chad Pennington loves well, 5 rec for 27 yds. Tim Dwight - Ran the short but sweet routes that Chad Pennington loves well, 4 rec for 28 yds.Jerricho Cotchery - Caught a nice 19 yard pass from Kellen Clemens and 2 others, showed good chemistry and ability. 3 rec for 36 yds. Justin Miller - In reality he forced a Fumble, despite not getting credit for it. Kid knows how to Tackle. Eric Barton - He's Baaaaaccckkk..Shaun Ellis - No Sacks, but decent pressure on the QB.Kerry Rhodes - Very Solid.Coaching - Lots of formations, lots of looks, lots of Flexability. I like it.NegativesJets Running Game - Houston 5 car, 17 yds - Blaylock 6 car, 12 yds - Washington 1 car, 1 yd.Justin McCareins - 0 Catches. Complete non-factor.Jets Tight Ends - Baker 1 Catch, 6 yds. Jolley 0 catches, Dressen 0 catches. Complete non-factor.Dewayne Robertson - Struggled a bit as our Nose Tackle. His struggles led to Jon Vilma getting many offensive lineman in his face making him play unimpressively also. Jets Second Team Defense - Or shall I say 'What Defense?'. They couldnt stop the run no matter how hard they tried. We need an interior Nose Tackle presence ASAP.

He's worse then what we have....
You're probably wishing you had Tony Fisher (5 att-33 yds-1 td), Fred Russell (6-53-0), or God Jackson (5-41-0). Hell, probably even Washington (5-18).

Lets wait until they do it against a top tiered Defense.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>So Betts can't beat a combined average of under 2.5? That's hard to not be able to beat.</div>Against the #1 Defense in the league last year? (Yes, they passed the Bears in Week 17) Thats harder then youd think. And yes, I dont think he is capable of that much with our offensive line playing how we did struggleing to open up a hole for the runningback and the runningbacks not making anything happen. It's game one of the preseason, im not too concerned about it personally as when our offensive line gells I dont see this being much of a problem, although an addition at RB would be nice, but we're not looking for another dime-a-dozen runningback. We're looking for a Potential Franchise Back. And the Tony Fisher's and LaDell Betts of the world isnt going to be that guy.
Stop trying to pawn your backups off on us. If they were so studly, they'd be starters by now for someone.
