"The Jets have signed two linebackers to free-agent contracts following last weekend's rookie camp: Alabama's Cory Reamer and Hawaii's Brashton Satele.

The 6-3, 231-pound Reamer caught Rex Ryan's eye almost immediately on Friday, impressing the head coach with his football IQ more than anything else. Ryan often joked that they could replace defensive coordinator Mike Pettine with Reamer "because this guy is sharp. He's calling out everything."

Reamer appeared in 14 games and made seven starts for the Crimson Tide in 2009, recording 50 tackles (seven for a loss) with two sacks and an interception. He received the team's Iron Man Award for his dedication to the team's year-round training program."
