http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2788962Personally I loved this move as the Jets get a Runningback without a lot of mileage so he should be able to hold up for 2-3 years in exchange for trading down 20 or so spots in the Second Round.
As the legend Mariotti said, the Bears traded away Jones for a clump of lint. WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING!!?? Tradung him away to move up 26 spots in the 2nd round. TOTALLY IDIOTIC!!

To be fair, it's usually impossible to get much for a Runningback who is pushing 30 (Jones will be 29 in August). Those 26 spots were about the equivilant of the Jets giving up an early 3rd round pick following a draft value chart. The only team I can think of that gave up more for a back pushing 30 was when the Pats gave up an late second for Corey Dillon. As long as Thomas Jones has 3 more years left in him, it'll be a worthwhile trade for the Jets.

McGahee played for Buffalo. Surrounded by a passing game that can't even scare a college defense and an offensive line more porous than a sponge, McGahee was centered in on by defenses. We have a better, younger line (Pashos is being replaced by Terry who stepped in for Ogden well) and a passing game that has a veteran QB and will be better after having a 2nd year with WRs and TEs.He'll do fine. If Jamal Lewis could produce, McGahee will do better.

It was the Running Game that couldn't scare a college defense if anything, although that was partically due to a poor Offensive Line....

And that makes it imperative Grossman not play like shit, and/or the Lovetron open the QB spot to competition
