But most of the original Jews were from the same place, it is a race. Hitler was killing people from their race. You want to reserve the word for your race or something?

He told me about some incident concerning Mel Gibson drunk and claiming that Jews are ruining the economy of the US. I told him that that doesn't make Mel "racist", just a religion hater. He kept claiming that Jews are a race, so I let it slide. Good topic, though.</span>

Re: Jewish Isn't a Race There was this jewish guest speaker at my school last year that survived the Holocaust and has seen Hitler. She explained how he acted and how he looked like. I feel bad for that lady because she is the only person from her family that survived.Anyways, I don't think Jewish is a race but it is a religion just like Islam or Catholic.

I've heard people get all uppity about it (what the difference is, I don't know), but there are characteristics similar to people of that heritage. You can also convert to Judaism, but not many people do that anyway. Now as for them not all being from the same place, I don't see what that has to do with anything. They all originate from the same place, and probably have considerably more genetic isolation than most other people. Not all black people are from the same place. They have similar features. How are Jews different?
Re: Jewish Isn't a Race Jewish is sort of a race, there are genetically differnt factors within the Jewish community, but this is because Jews tend to marry only other Jews, and with the constant "depopulationing" of the jewish people, the Genetic lines are getting more and more mixed. This is one reason why Jewish people are so succeptible(sp?) to certain dieses like T-sacs and Sycle-cell-anemia.

I saw that movie for World History class last year. It's very sad; very, very sad. Re: Jewish Isn't a Race It is actually both. Look it up. It is possibly to be Jewish and have affliation to the religion. And it is possible to be Jewish and have to relation to the bloodline. Look it up.
