What was Mora doing tonight against the Eagles? They're up 14-7 and it's 4th and 1 on the 20 yard line in the 4th quarter. It's been a defensive struggle all night. Why not kick a 37 yard field goal and go up by two scores? The Falcons ended up winning, so I guess it's all academic. Regardless, I can't help but wonder WTF he was thinking? Kicking in a dome with a solid kicker, no less! Thoughts?

That was the play he was talking about, and I have to agree that it was a horrible play call. It did work out for them (for a little while), but when you are going against McNabb and Owens with Westbrook thrown in the mix, a quick TD is not out of the question regardless of how good your defense is. Keep it to a two score game and the game changes completely.
They made the 4th and 1 though. I thought it was a hell of a call and I would of done it as well. Vick got blind sided by Dawkins to end the drive.
Mora tends to gamble with those 4th and 1 plays from time to time. Mora may have just felt more confident that they could gain the 1 yard and go for the TD than have Peterson kick the field goal. In the end it all worked out but if our defense hadn't of shut down the Eagles offense, that call could have been costly.
I like Mora, I won't be surprised if they make it to the NFC Conference again. But I was kind of worried that Ed Hartwell didn't make many tackles.
Hartwell was no where to be found on the field. He had like 1 tackle all game. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come because if it is than Hartwell isn't really an improvement from Draft.

Plus falcs D looked great, he wasnt as good as others, so they beat him to every tackle
