    JKIDD & K-MART

THESE TWO JKIDD AND K-MART are no doubt franchise players. But will it be enough to win against the western teams in the championship series? DO we need somebody else to BEAT the lakers, kings, mavs, twolves?

simply, will jkidd and kmart (and RJ i guess) be ENOUGH?

Jason Kidd needs a back up Point gaurd more than ever take some of the pressure off the guy. KMart can play with the best of 'em in the league him and boozer are the new era of power forwards or atleast the start. RJ has mad hops if he starts having problems he'll just jump over the guy. Did you see Jannero Pargo break that guys ankles that was in for JKIDD? man the nets need a back-up point gaurd bad..

They need consistent perimeter shooting from Lu and Kerry. Oh, and another 7 footer who can bang with the West wouldn't hurt.

I think if we make it back to the finals this year our chances of winning a championship we be increased. Winning 2 games last year in the finals should give us added confidence that we can play with the big boys out west during championship time.

I think if everybody plays up to our capablity, then we matchup pretty well against everyone except the Lakers. Jason Collins/Aaron Williams just cant do anything with Shaq, thats just a horrible match. But the Nets matchup pretty good against the other west conference powers. But of course they will be favorite by a mile to beat us.

I think if we make it back to the finals this year, we will be alot more mentally tough. Last year after the Bucks series, the rest of the eastern conference playoff run was a cake walk. And I think that cost us in the series against the Spurs. We folded in a few close games that we had a legit chance to win. The spurs were alot more mentally tough, they excuted down the stretch (especially in game 6, when the Nets had a double digit lead on them in the 4th. And they came back to win). Thats because of the battles the the spurs had against LA & Dallas in the west playoffs. Well this year I expect the Nets to see alot of difficult battles in the ECP, so if they get tho those they will be battle tested for the Finals.

So I like our chances in the playoffs & Finals this season. But I have a feeling its going to be the most diffcult of all the Nets playoff runs during the J.kidd era.

As for the futre of the Nets. We need a backup Point like PG said. J.Kidd plays to many minutes.

Nets need some more size at the center spot JC is a PF. Him playing center wont work in the long run if the Nets want to be championship contenders on a continious basis.

Adding another perimeter shooter is also needed.

With K-mart & RJ developing every single year, I have full confidence that our current core 3 of Martin, Jefferson, Kidd can keep us in the championship race every year. And eventually win a world championship. The Nets just need to make a few upgrades around them.

I just hope that they don't face the Lakers and we should be able to win a couple of games and wish to win two more. Oh and I just hope that Kidd and Martin will be healthy enough for the playoffs.

With our present lineup, we have a chance against the Kings, Mavs and Wolves.
